Overall the fallen series wasn't so bad. It was good, actually. The one issue is that, for me at least, it took each book for me to slowly warm up to the idea of the story and see it really is good. In the first book, it was hard to get Luce because her constantly reaching out to Daniel, no matter how many times he dissed her, seemed too much. But when the truth is revealed, it somehow makes sense. It doesn't excuse his bland rudeness, but you do get why.
