Fascinating if you're interested in learning about the Mormon religion and the history of the church. And, like all of Krakauer's books, it is thoroughly researched. Since I'm a Krakauer fan, I enjoyed the book and the detail. The story itself, of the murders, is frightening because it happened when we're supposed to be an enlightened people.
