I consider myself a Mallery fan and have several Fool's Gold books on my keeper shelf. This one won't be joining them because it felt like a self-help book within a romance novel. The characters are likable and I was rooting for their happily ever after, but some of their conversations or internal realizations were too didactic for me. It was fun to see glimpses of characters from the earlier books.
