I picked this up from the 'free' book truck at the branch library because there were several wish listed books in the practical arts. Unfortunately, the PBS comrade who wanted it ignored the offer until it expired in 48 hours.
Today I hauled it to the lobby of the VA Hospital where it will find a happy reader Monday morning for sure. Flipping through it, I find it well illustrated with gals modeling the garment and explicit instructions on how to do the back and so forth.
The author means to inspire readers--crochet is not passe!
It is an American book but does include 'translation' of terms for UK readers.
