Jane is a shifter (skinwalker) of Cherokee descent who hunts (bad) vampires. Her animal soul is called Beast. She's a bad-ass and rides a motorcycle called Bitsa. She also has no memory of 12 years or so of her life.
It was an interesting world. I liked Jane and her habit of giving people, things nicknames. I did like this, but it was hard to read. I found myself getting distracted and felt this dragged more than it should have. There were moments when things were overly descriptive and gave me way too many details.
