We should all be eating more beans because they are generally nutrient-dense foods with good amounts of various vitamins and minerals we need. They are also inexpensive and easy to cook. This book offers a variety of ways to deliver more nutrients to your plate.

However, there are a few problems. In the upper right corner, the author offers some critical information. That includes -- prep time, total time, servings per recipe, calories, fat, cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates, and proteins. On the pages where the corner remains white, things are fine. On the pages with the maroon corner, I cannot read it; the corner is too dark.

Also, I wish the calories, etc., were given in the manner in which they would be most useful, instead of how they are -- which is in grams. There are lots of great photos but they are not labeled with the recipe they belong to (in the book). If the photo does not belong to one of the recipes provided, why are they there?
