Great read and I agree with the review that it was refreshing to read a romance where the characters weren't idiots and the problems are things that are happening around them and not the romance itself. I don't think the book description does it justice so I'm going to include a synopsis, usually I don't do this.

Basically Andrea is half-fae and half wolf shifter. She moves into town to escape the son of her old pack leader. The loser son and his pals are terrorizing Andrea and her stepfather into accepting a mating bond. In steps Feline Shifter/Guardian (he has a need magic sword that helps shifters cross over to death smoothly) Sean. He makes a mate-claim with Andrea to get the loser son off their back and to allow Andrea to move. They start liking each other which leads to steamy scenes and playful bantering. Throw in some humans shooting up business that has a lot of shifter clientele, shifters double crossing each other, and a fae dead beat dad that could be good or bad, and you have this story.

Fast paced, sweet, action packed. I thought it was actually better than the first one. It would be beneficial to read them in order so you can get some backgrounds on the collars and also information on the side characters of the story. It's more heavily into the romance than action. Lots of fun to read.
