Very enjoyable first two books in the Dark Days series. Mira is a vampire, a Nightwalker, who can control fire. Danaus is a vampire hunter sent to kill her. He is more than human but Mira is not sure what. When a more deadly enemy appears they form an uneasy alliance to protect humanity from the naturi. The naturi want all Nightwalkers and humans eliminated from the earth.
