Book Review of Cooking for Mr. Right

Cooking for Mr. Right

Although the book had a good plot, I found it to be flat. The main character, Katie, wants to win back her ex who she instatnly tells the reader off the bat that she turned him down several times for marriage. The character implies that people want what they can't have, but as a reader, I didn't sense that she wanted this ex. I would have liked to believe that she wanted him back, so that the story made sense and would have been more interesting. The dialogue was one note. All the characters sounded the same. Even when they are described as different people, there was only one voice throughout the conversations. The food was interesting enough and definitely redeemed the book. I still want to read more from the author, because I think she could write better.
