Meg has expanded her apple orchard as well as her relationship with Seth Chapin. A neighbor and dairy farmer is murdered after discovering that the land her dairy farm is on is contaminated with high amounts of lead and arsenic (to name a few of the elements found). Meg is drawn into the investigation because her friend Lauren is managing the political campaign of a potential congressional candidate who may or may not have involvement in a cover up or worse. To make matters worse, the candidate , Rick Sainsbury, is a home town boy from Granford whom Seth knew in high school, and does seem overly excited about endorsing....why? I really like this series and enjoy the apple information......
