Rupert and Kristin Isaacson were heartbroken when they learned there their three year old son Rowan was autistic. And with each passing day Rowan's growing isolation, his uncontrollable fits and each failed treatment filled them with despair. When Rowan escapes into a field of horses they saw a miracle occur. The horses responded lovingly to Rowan-and he to them. The issaacson left their home and travelled to the plains and mountains of Mongolia, the spiritual home of the horse, rising everything their happiness, future and sanity-on an arduous epic horseback journey in search of a cure for Rowan...

I must admit, I slogged through the whole book. A twist on the treatment of autism through horses. I would have given up with but Rupert and Kristin have way more patience than I ever will. Good read.
