I read this book because it was on the Romantic Times Classic Romance list with a 5 out of 5 rating.
The "hero",Alex is an arrogant, rich Sheik. I like dark heros, and I can take arrogant and possesive behavior from romance heros to a point. But this went beyond the normal arrogance to abuse. There is no other word for Alex's behavior. He meets the heroine , Sabrina , at his birthday party. She has come to do a "bellygram" - a bellydance - as a gift from his friend. He is immediately enraged and jealous. He practically says he owns her. He demands she quit her job. He "tells" her she is going home with him and she is to break off all other relationships with other men. Later on, he threatens her loved ones and demands she come live with him. He gets her fired from her job. And on it goes. His excuse is he never felt this way about another woman and he "doesn't like it". But still, she LOVES him! She "can't control" her emotions when she is with him , or when he tries to get her to "make love". God, how sickening! Yuk!!! I'd give this 0 stars if I could.
