As I wasn't overly impressed with the first in this series, I was reluctant to begin the second one. However, I'm glad I did as it was much more engaging and romantic. It had a different twist to our hero's amnesia story and our heroine's nursing career with Ms. Nightengale. I liked Stephen, the second son without any real prospects; only a military career that he couldn't recall. Usually heroes have a title, money, or something like that. This story wasn't way over the top good, just much better than the last. Just when I was about to give up on this author, I have to say I'm now looking forward to the third in this series. 4 stars.
