So when you hear that this book has been written from a dog's perspective, you've got to be thinking that there is the potential for it to be pretty cheesy or dumb or badly written. I was VERY pleasantly surprised by this book. I LOVED IT.
It's not too uncommon of a story: guy meets girl, they get married, she gets sick, etc, etc, but the way this was put together and shown through Enzo's eyes is really wonderful. I read a lot of books and this is definitely one of the best I've read in a long time, very deserving of my 5-star rating. I've passed it on to two other readers since I finished, which is really the biggest stamp of approval I can convey.
