My six year old was deeply moved by these stories. I think we forget that kids have brains and hearts, because they don't come across these kinds of stories on a regular basis. My kids drink deeply at the well of fine literature. They have come to tears by the end of nearly every one of these stories, and walked around for hours seeing the world in a different way. Good christian tones, good symbolism, and good stories.
