I'm not a big Harlequin reader, but Jessica Steele is one of the few that I will read when I need some easy "fluff" reading. Bevin, the heroine, is a drudge for her uncaring stepmother, then after falling ill with a bad cold, she is rescued by the handsome and rich Jarvis. Amazingly he takes care of her in his apartment for several days, and in the process of misunderstandings allows his family to think they are engaged. Of course they fall in love, of course there are misunderstandings and misadventures, but like in all Harlequins, alls happy in the end!
