Always a satisfying read. Family spending the summer of 69 at their home in Nantucket. Grandmother, mother, three daughters. Son is in Vietnam. One daughter married and pregnant. The other a war protester and feminist. The other a new 13 year old. Covers all the significant historical events of that summer and the time - feminism, war, hippies, Woodstock, the moon landing and space race, and Chappaquiddick. All the backdrop to a good family story with depth.
