Travis needs a wife to seal an important business deal, so he turns to Julie, a longtime family friend, and proposes a one year marriage of convenience. He'll get the distributor he needs; she'll get the money to start the bakery she wants to open. Bumps in the road begin on their wedding day and don't let up: Julie isn't sure she can go through with the farce, her ex shows up to blackmail her new husband, their honeymoon passion is splashed across the tabloids, and Travis isn't sure he can trust Julie. They do reach their happily ever after, and you catch glimpses of other characters from books in this series. It's a quick, fun read with an arrogant hero and a heroine who won't sit around and let herself be taken care of.
