Help Center - How do I post in the Discussion Forums?

Search Terms:

Beginning 2/15/2015, annual membership will be required to Post in the Discussion Forums - Limited and Standard Members will be able to post. The Forums will be read-only for A la Carte (unenrolled) members.

To start a new topic in the Forums:

  • Click at the top of any Discussion Forum. 
    • There is also an empty New Topic box at the bottom of every Discussion Forum page.

  • You must be within a specific Forum to do this.

  • Once you click New Topic, an empty text box will come up

    • Type in a Subject (you will not be able to edit this later)

    • Type in your text 

      • You will not necessarily see a cursor in the box before you begin typing; just click anywhere in the box and start typing.
    • Click

If you are within a particular topic and want to reply to it:

  • Click at the top of the page
    • There is also an empty Reply box at the bottom of each topic page.
  • Type your text into the Reply box
    • You will not necessarily see a cursor in the box before you begin typing; just click anywhere in the box and start typing.
  • Click

To edit a post you have made previously:

  • Go to your post

  • Click above the text of your post.

 

Topics archive off the site when they have not been Posted in for 45 days.

Please note that advertising or solicitation of any kind is strictly prohibited in the Discussion Forums, Profile, or anywhere on the site.

Additionally, posting links or text from misinformation/hatespeech sites is prohibited. Courtesy is expected between members.

Please also note that any images posted to the Discussion Forums should be either your own property or in the public domain.  Copyrighted images will be subject to removal, and a repeat incident after a first warning may lead to account termination.
