We hit our Book Credits goal!
We hit our PBS Money goal!
Livingston Elementary services nearly 450 students with 100% of the student population considered to be economically disadvantaged.
The school consists of Pre-k through 6th grade. A Primary High Incidence (K-2) and an Intermediate High Incidence (3-6) classroom are also housed in our school.
The students that are served in our building come to school with varied backgrounds and each at their own independent reading level.
The one thing that we as educators try to instill in our students daily is the love for reading. The majority of our students do not come to school reading on grade level, according to the assessments administered. It is our job to meet our learners where they are and to build on their current knowledge through a variety of instructional strategies to increase their reading fluency and comprehension. To help achieve this goal, our students need access to texts, both fiction and non-fiction, that span across the variety of genres to be learned. We would welcome the opportunity to increase our availability of books that our students have access to so that they may work to develop their independent reading skills both in school and at home. It would be quite an honor to have enough books available for each and every one of our learners to be able to add to their classroom or home library collection.
Thank you so much for choosing our school. This just makes my heart sing. It will be such a blessing for our students.
