A marvelous blend of fact and fiction. The author's embellishments to the life of Abe Lincoln were done so without skewing the history.

This is a very good sequel. I think the character development moved forward nicely from the first book. I'm looking forward to reading the final book.

Nice closure to the trilogy. A few "I didn't see that coming sections" that made it fun to read. I really like the characters too, even Dorian.

Solid story line throughout the series and the book. The characters were very well developed and the climax was right on target.

There was even a bit of foreshadowing and an opening left for further stories

Book 2 has a lot more action than book 1. The story lines are already developed and the characters seem a lot more alive.

Not a bad book, but it is no Thomas Covenant!

This fantasy story weaves medieval politics, with a bit of magic and assassins. It starts a bit slow, as there is a lot of story to develop regarding the politics. The pace picks up through the middle and the climax at the end. The characters were very well developed. I cannot wait to read the next part of this series.
