Recommend Dratch's book if you're interested in what contributes to creating a comedian. My daughter, Abby Feldman, is a comic/actor so these bios hold particular appeal to me. Bossypants by Tina Fey was probably the best. Remarkably many such bios(Steve Martin, Carol Leifer, Adam Corola)and I'm never disappointed by fascinating backgrounds, humor and insight of these talented celebs.

Highest rating for this book. I've read it countless times to a 4-year old. Never gets tired!

First time I've bothered to review PBS book.
Expectations were so high for humor. But it was pretty, pretty, pretty depressing. Let's say it wasn't for me. One of few books I don't feel comfortable re-homing.

Loved this book. Huge fan of Roz Chast's wickedly delicious humor and illustrations. This is NOT a kids' book, unless your kid enjoys twisted, anxiety-ridden images. If you 'get' her, you'll love her art. Some of Ms.Chast's other works are more complicated with complex schematics. But their condensed text makes them difficult to read. "What I Hate" is, ok, I'll say it: Brilliant!
And if there's any way to send this valentine to Roz, I wouldn't hate it.
