I enjoyed this book very much. It was very personable, touching, revealing and humorous. I loved the relationship that developed between the writer and Ms. Hepburn. Her recollections of her times with many actors, directors, producers and even Michael Jackson were entertaining. It is a heartwarming book that traces her life written gracefully, with deep respect and love. I learned much about Kate Hepburn from her stories of her childhood, her ancestry, her loves, her passions, her philosophies on life and death, her strong work ethic and her loyalties to her family and friends.
It is a wonderful book that includes some lovely photos of her, too.

Excellent! As usual, Ms. Picoult provides descriptive and captivating chapters to keep you from putting the book down! Developed each character so well and the story line has enough mystery to keep you in suspense. There are twists and turns -- a real page turner to the very, very end. Her research is evident in explaining the Amish culture and it is a perfect setting for the main drive of the book.

This was a pleasant book to read, filled with interesting history of a family's legacy with building and occupying a home still in existance since about 1647 in Marshfield, Mass., coupled with stories of the author and her family that purchased the home in 1965. It makes you think of home restoration and preservation, respecting the "footprints" that prior residents brought while they lived in the Red House.

Excellent, well written, with very interesting characters and story line. Explains various aspects of Orthodox & Kabbalah teachings. There is mystery, lots of emotion and even a story within the story of Jackie Robinson coming to the major leagues!
Both men and women will enjoy this book.
