The story is about a boy from an orphanage who is adopted by a man who claims to be his brother. The man is anything but who he says he is. Before the boy knows it, he finds himself surrounding by thieves, con-artists, and grave robbers. It was hard for me to get into this one and I don't understand the hype surrounding this one. It was a decent story but it never jumped from the pages for me like some reviewers have claimed.

As a fast moving story of International Espionage, I was never sure where the story would turn next and who or whom could be trusted. The story is set in a post-9/11 era and many of the details reflect our modern world. I have to wonder how much of the story is fiction and how much is true. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a story that makes you question the current events you read in the daily paper or see on the news.

Just finished this little one last night. It was a pretty quick read for me, just a couple evenings before bed and I was done. The story line was okay, it is a furthering of the story line. I really didn't see the characters grow very much nor did I really learn anything new about them. To not spoil anything for anyone, there were a number of "significant emotional events" that occurred to the main character and she really didn't respond in a corresponding emotional manner. I've read all the other books with this series and I will probably end my relationship with the series here. I have read a number of things by this author within the last few months and many of the characters seem rather shallow like they weren't fully thought out and developed. If you like fluffy vampire chick-lit you might like this book, if your looking for something a little deeper, you might want to skip this one.
