This is a cute little book - but it is just that - a little book. It is only about 7-8 pages long and super fast read. Good one if your little one is desperate for "just one more, pleeeeaseeeee!!!" :)

Just finished the book and all I can say is "WOW!" I loved it - I am already having withdrawls for the next one - jeez, talk about suspense! Great book, great series, great author. I love how she ties in the Highlander series into this one and love how you think you know what is going to happen next, only to have the rug ripped out from under you. Lots more revelations in this book as well as some new secrets to desire answers for.
If you haven't read this series, start now! You don't need to read the Highlander series first but it might help with some of the questions about those characters from these books (i.e. mentions Adam and the Keltar clan). However, you must read the Fever series in order to fully understand.
So, when is the next one coming out? Seriously, I want to know...

While this may be an unpopular review, I was disappointed. I found the book a hard read. It was confusing. Not the plot or story in itself, mind you - just the writing. I found this book to be full of fragmented sentences and run-on sentences that made me re-read the same paragraph several times. I "get" the idea of no quotation marks on the dialog, but at times it was difficult to tell if the characters were talking to eachother or if the main character was just thinking/remembering/dreaming (take your pick).
Now, I liked the actual theme of a wasted and savage future America - it was refreshing. The ending, however, left me needing some closure that just wasn't there. It is like the author decided that he was rambling with thoughts and needed to wrap it up fast. That was the only part of the book that read quickly.
All in all, this was not my favorite book and I probably won't recommend it to anyone.

I have to say, I just finished reading this last installment of the Fever series and now I want to go back and re-read all of them again. I simply loved this book and series. I was floored over how much of what I had imagined to be the flow of this book changed so many times. I like that - very unpredictable and entertaining. I do already mourn the finishing of this series - it was one of the only series of books that I looked forward to reading each one with a child-like giddyness.
If you read any of KMM books, this is the series to read (however, ALL OF THEM and fantastic and, as in a review of the previous book, I do think that you have to read the Highlander series first, if only for the backgrounds on some of the characters that show up in this series.
I will always be a KMM fan and will always read her books. Fabulous, KMM, I cannot wait for the next (tie-in) series!

This was a fast read for me - even though I had to flip back through pages to review items told out of sequence (which is part of this book's charm). I really liked this book though. The narration was each character telling parts of the story in their own thoughts/words as they went along, basically in the style of journal writing, which was interesting. Some people might say it was confusing and I wont lie, it was at times but I still read it quickly and at times had a very difficult time putting it down. I laughed and cried with the characters and felt like it moved along well. I am not sure how the movie will play out as I cannot see it being made into a movie with all the moving around and time changes but we will see. All in all, a good book that was entertaining and kept me thinking about it even after I finished it.

This was a cute book but beware - doesnt always come with the tiara or bag. When requesting on this site, you need to remember that those things don't get passed on. I didn't get it with the tiara or the bag but the book still reads just as well. :)
