Although this book is older, it's a much larger version than the ones that followed it. If you're a fan of vintage movies and don't need listings for most of the new ones, the larger type and format may be perfect for you.

Leonard Maltin's movie books are the gold standard for movie reviews. Although this book is older and doesn't cover movies past the year 2000, it is perfect for referencing vintage movies.

Mary Sheepshanks has written the follow-up to this book under her maiden name, Mary Nickson. "Secrets and Shadows" follows Izzy and Giles 6 years after the events in "Off Balance", and it's wonderful to finally find out what happened to those characters.
