Excellent read. Meyer has a real feel for the people of that moment in that place. Recommend.

For anyone who has ever done, thought of, or wondered about 'caving' (the art of descending to the depths of the likes of the Carlsbad Caverns), this book is a must. An Anna Pigeon Mystery at its best!

A must read for any blackjack player.

Story about British submarine landing commandos in SE Asia. Interesting story line - had to have some basis in fact. Great read for departure from the usual Nazi Germany war stories.

Very tight and engrossing court room drama with the twists and turns of a mystery. Excellent story - couldn't put it down.

Very detailed account regarding the political and economic evolution of Mexico through 1984. Good understanding on how they got to that point but obviously nothing since. Interesting but tiring!

Although billed as 'teenage reading', would not limit it to just that. Having experienced Viet Nam, found this book very relevant to any age. An in depth pursuit of what it was like in the 'trenches' of Viet Nam during the Tet Offensive. The author was well acquainted with the technical and emotional elements of combat at that time. Excellent narative of a typically tragic and true story.

Interesting story told by a boy raised by a Mafia crime boss in early 20th century New York. Very well written with realistic portrayals of sydicated crime through the eyes of a boy growing up. An excellent read!

Great story teller - somewhat in the view of TC Boyle!

Did not finish (DFN), but a lot of people did! Not one for comedy and Sci Fi mixing.

Having served in the USCG in Viet Nam, the story had special meaning. A small piece of WWII, author Sloan Wilson narates a very entertaining and belable chronicle of a little know segment of the Atlantic battle against Germany. Excellent reading and looking forward to finding his sequal - Pcific Interlude.

Written after the movie, book closely follows the screenplay. Provides a captivating narrative on the crew of the B-17 Memphis Belle trying to complete its 25th mission over WWII Germany. Always interesting to read a book AFTER the movie - gives you a chance to take the story at your own pace. Good WWII read!

Good story - not quick up to his first WWII book 'Ice Brothers', but enjoyable reading nontheless. Deffinitely need to read both but necessary in order.

Completely different. Very entertaining and yet graphically engrossing. The overall plot seems a little suspect but give it some room and it comes out OK.

For anyone who served on the ground in the Viet Nam War, this book is a must. Although somewhat over technical with the endless unit designations and command structures, it does prpvide a vivid account of the 'Search and Destroy' tactics employed for the rest of the conflict. The ulitmate futility of a war of atrition, where ground is taken then abandonded plagued the American effort right to the end.

Author W.E.B. Griffin takes his Marine Corp characters 'Killer' Mccoy and Pick Pickering one novel too many with this behind the scenes of the early days of the Korean War. But if you are a Griffin fan, the story will hold your interest and certainly leaves the door open for a sequel about the War after China becomes involved. A 6 on the Griffin scale of 10.

Great story about a very timely event. Hard to put down, but luckily it is an easy read. Enjoy!

Interesting presentation of a little known story wrapped in the history of the area and the lives and customs of the inhabitants of that locale and period. A must read for anyone interested in SW American History.

Not one of C.J. Box's best with Cassie DeWell, but entertaining nonetheless!
