I read this book back when it first came out and really liked it.. I was a bit upset that has taken so long for book 2 to come out. Like most 1st books in a new series it's a bit long winded but then again you have to have that to set up the series world. It's a good paranormal that could had a bit more romance in it but I see high hopes for the 2nd in the series which is coming out this October and yes it's already pre-ordered.. I have read Linda Jones but this is the first time for Linda Howard for me.
Get this book and you will enjoy it.

I have enjoy both books in this ongoing series. This book can be read as a stand-a-long but it would be better to read the first in this series "Wooing the Schoolmarm" first. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
This story is a sweet romance between a man that doesn't want to be wanted just for his money and a girl that don't want to be wanted just because she is beautiful. Mix in some wonderful characters from the village and you have a very nice story. ;-)

I have enjoyed reading all of Ms. Johnston's "Alpha Force" books and really enjoyed this one.. If you like werewolves/shapeshifters you will like this one and make sure to read the first two in the series plus the little short story "Claws of the Lynx" in Awakening the Beast Nocturne Bites. Hope to see more of the Alpha Force.

This title is a reprint of one of Ms. Howell's earlier works "Amber Flame" which came out in 1993.
"Storm Eldon was first caught up in the war between England and Scotland as a young girl, when she and her family were held hostage by their sworn enemies, the MacLagans. Years later, Storm finds herself trapped in the clutches of her Scottish adversaries once again. Now she must fight to preserve her loyalties, guard her virtue, and resist the charms of Tavis MacLagan, her handsome Highland captor..."
This title is not one of her "Murray Clan" series but it is one of her earlier Highlander books and it's a good one.

I have read this author before and liked her stories. This one I had a bit of trouble telling dream/fantasy parts from the main story but it was still a super HOT story and like another review said "The sex is fabulous. inventive and orgasmic"! If you like BDSM and capture/bondage this book is for you!

I'm not much on writing reviews since I'm a reader not a writer but here goes! 9 times out of 10 most anthologies will have one "maybe" two stories that are good but this book is a RARE fine since all three stories in this one are "very good" reads. Can't go wrong with this one..
So if you like Christmas stories that are funny, well-written and make you feel good get this one today!

I have this in ebook form and read it when it first came out in 2009. G.A. Aiken is also "Shelly Laurenston". You will LOL when you read this book. This author writes sexy, hot and funny books. I haven't read one yet that wasn't a great read and hard to put down until you finish it.
"Only for those I love would I traipse into the merciless Northlands to risk life, limb, and my exquisite beauty. But do they appreciate it? Do they say, "Gwenvael the Handsome, you are the best among us--the most loved of all dragons?" No! For centuries my family has refused to acknowledge my magnificence as well as my innate humility. Yet for them, and because I am so chivalrous, I will brave the worst this land has to offer.
So here I stand, waiting to broker an alliance with the one the Northlanders call The Beast. A being so fearful, the greatest warriors will only whisper its name. Yet I, Gwenvael, will courageously face down this terrifying. . .woman? It turns out the Beast, a.k.a. Dagmar Reinholdt, is a woman--one with steel-gray eyes and a shocking disregard for my good looks. Beneath her plain robes and prim spectacles lies a sensual creature waiting to be unleashed. Who better than a dragon to thaw out that icy demeanor?
And who better than a beast to finally tame a mighty dragon's heart?"
