I'm a huge Laymon fan and have read most of his books, this one was disappointing. It meanders a lot and is lacking a lot of the stuff that I enjoy in his other books. It's not a bad thriller I guess but not a very good Laymon book in my opinion. I don't think he knew where this book was going while he was writing it and it's like he just randomly decided to throw in twists here and there.
Personally I'd say skip it with so many other awesome Laymon choices.

Better than the Da Vinci Code, Actually the best of Brown's 4 books. Hard to put down.

I really liked the first 2 Reacher books. I'm 100 pages into this one and thoroughly bored. I did not grab my attention like the others. It's very wordy and over-descriptive. I found myself skipping paragraphs, which I don't normally do. Book 3 is significantly longer than the previous 2. It seems to me like the publisher requested a longer book and the author obliged. Not for me, skipping to book 4, I hope it's better.
