So far I have never found a Steven Brust book I have not liked. This is a fun read, nothing too heavy but with a twist.

This book is not to be used for actually trying to repair anything.
No depth, few illustrations.
One paragraph on the headset is really insufficient, with no mention of ball bearings.
Find a real repair manual, this is not it!

Mediocre. As 1632 series books go it did not hold my attention nearly as well '32 or '33. As a compilation of stories it's okay.
