This subject matter isn't what I usually expect of this author, but I enjoyed it all the same.

Excellent as expected. One of the earlier books in the series (e.g., Lucy is still in grade school).

Espionage novel as expected from Clancy, this one involving Russia and China. A fat read at more than 1100 pages.

Another of Griffin's page-turners. All too plausible.

You might think twice about your cell phone addiction. It only takes a little paranoia to see how this scenario could happen. Just pray terrorists don't develop this capability!

Period tale of pre WWII mission across African desert, becoming more significant than first thought.

This book was better in concept than execution. It's a fast read, and had a few chuckles, but not as good as I expected. Disappointing.

Not as good as expected from this author. Fast-paced action but little depth.

Lucas Davenport returns in a skillfully-written adventure with a dash of Russian influence.

Gripping action story with a focus on South African political factions. Satisfying continuation of the series.

One of Douglass' Carrier series. Fans of naval aviation and carrier ops will enjoy.

Another Coonts page-turner with unexpected twists and turns.

Sometimes gory thriller where "outsider" cops track down a serial killer.

Couldn't get into this book. Difficult to concentrate on the story line through all the jargon and slang.

From the cover:
"It is dusk on July 17, 1996. A man and a woman who are married - but not to each other - make love on a Long Island beach as a video camera records their pleasure...and something more. Out over the ocean, TWA Flight 800 suddenly explodes with 230 victims on board, the terrible blast illuminating the sky. The government's verdict is mechanical failure. But the videotape may tell another story - if it can be found.
Now, on the fifth anniversary of the crash, two members of the Federal Anti-Terrorist Task Force set out to reopen the case: John Corey, and ex-NYPD detective, and his wife, Kate Mayfield, a career FBI agent. Together, they hunt for the crucial video...and race toward an elusive truth even more horrifying than the crash itself."

Another of Coonts' adventures involving an undercover NSA team, this time pursuing a missing nuclear weapon during a threatened Peruvian coup. Brief chapters move the action along, following characters from earlier "Deep Black" stories. Stand alone as a good action read even if you haven't seen previous books.
