Excellent read and a review of history that was both tragic (that a president is assassinated by a mad man) and beautiful (to think that we could have a morally upright, intelligent, thoughtful and fair-mined president). Wish we could get more of those men or women to run!

Quite good. Not a page-turner; but very enjoyable and informative. It gives one a real sense of democracy in Ancient Rome.

This book was a total surprise, in that it was so well written...who knew that a sports star could write with such insight and erudition. On one hand the book is filled with hilarious anecdotes of tennis matches we have all seen (I laughed out loud at times) and on the other hand, it is a thoughtful, sensitive portrayal of a young man's journey to find himself. I highly recommend it.

Rather silly...some humorous parts that I laughed...
