Nicholas Sparks keeps the reader guessing as the story unfolds. Just when you think you've got it all figured out - another twist and you're back to can't put it down until you find out the ending. A great read, wonderful story of love and heartache.

The book is just to graphic for me. I just couldn't finish it. After Batuk's father left her & the horror's begin I couldn't go any farther. I have no doubt there are people who live these horrors, children who are sold into slavery etc. I believe the story romanticized the nightmare. Just not anything I would recommend.

I loved this light, easy read. Nina, although ditzy at times, was a lovely character with a passion for books & a heart for adventure! There's nothing easy about starting a new life in a new country with an idea that isn't tried & true. Moist of us never take the chances Nina took just to be happy! I loved the innocence of this story. I can't wait to read more from Jenny Colgan!

Beverly Lewis does it again with the Annie's People series. Great story line - couldn't put this one down. The author's Amish background and knowlege of the area just pulls the reader into the lives of each character. Excellent read!!

If your looking for a lighthearted read - this is it! Fannie Flagg does it again with Can't Wait to Get to Heaven. Full of fun, characters most of us can relate to in one way or the other - very real & full of Southern charm.

Jason F. Wright has given us a beautiful inspiring story. John Bevan's journey through grief is almost as haunting as The Shack. The Cross Gardener is a reminder that we are truly never alone in dealing with our trials. I didn't want this one to end!!

A refreshing read. I loved Calla Lily Ponder - she is definitely a character I could relate to. Growing up in a close knit community, finally venturing out on her own & remaining true to herself & her upbringing, even when life was cruel & so unfair. I certainly recommend this book for a light, fresh plot that will have you laughing one minute & crying the next.

I think this is the first book I've ever tried to read & just couldn't finish. Very difficult to follow the story line. Totally random almost to the point of rambling.

Cassie Madison left Walton Ga. looking for herself & happiness. Little did she know the town & family she left had everything she was looking for & then some! Through the death of her father Cassie begins a journey that captures the reader & pulls them right into the story. Karen White is one of my favorite authors & Falling Home is another reason why. I highly suggest this book. You won't be dissappointed. Totally awesome!

Starts a little slow, but after the 1st couple chapters it picks up & was one I didn't want to put down. If the 1st couple chapters don't grab your attention - keep reading. Very enjoyable. Weiner has another winner!!!

It took a while for me to get into the book. Then the philosophical jargon lost me, but I finally finished the book. It definitely was not my favorite read. The story seemed to drag out & I struggled to finish it.
Personally, I didn't like some of the language. In the end the lesson learned by Scout was one that many of us can relate to. Overall...an average read.

Ira Wagler struggled most of his life with unhappiness of "Growing Up Amish." He touches on some of the strictness of different communities, but focuses on his inner feelings & his struggle to fit in somewhere. I enjoyed this book tremendously.

Absolutely amazing... I give this one 5 stars!! Didn't want to put this one down. Kathryn Stockett captures the readers total mind & puts them right in the middle of life in a troubling era of Mississippi life! Beautifully written from a totally differnt view. I could almost smell Minny's mouth watering pork chops & hear those gossiping voices of "society". I laughed, cried, felt the fear & the sweet taste of karma right along with the characters. A must read!!

Couldn't put it down. Whether my heart was aching for the characters, feeling anxious right along with them or laughing at their antics they all came to life in a way that left me thinking about them long after I had finished the book. The Help spins a tale about common household "Help" & the families who employee them. Love it!!!

Kathleen Grissom combined everything from unconditional love to bitter hatred, from extreme prejudice to complete acceptance. My emotions were as varied as the characters in the book. I loved this book & it's ending was not at all what I expected. A must read - could not put this one down. 5 stars!!!

This was the 1st book I've read by Amy Hatvany. While I enjoyed the book, I had trouble getting interested in the story. It was a wonderful tale of learning what growing up is all about. It was somewhat predictable. The language was crude at times. I'm more into clean language & more complex stories.

Truly a gem! Didn't want to put it down. Janette Oke has woven a wonderful story through her Prarie Series books. She captivates the reader with the story of Virginia's unselfish living and heartbreaking trials leaving us suspended until the very end. Faith, courage, heartache, unselfishness etc., allowing the reader to feel the true life struggles and joy endured by this Christian family. I highly recommend this series.

The Walker women couldn't seem to keep from running to avoid life's struggles. Each one always seemed drawn back to the yellow house with the odd turret & the song of the cypress trees. As the story unfolds around the Walker family of the Mississippi Delta, White kept me guessing until the end.

Ella Wallace battles to regain her land & her livelihood. Michael Morris weaves another dramatic tale. Sometimes the storyline seems obvious...then Morris adds those unexpected twists taking the reader by surprise! Fast becoming a favorite author! I really love that this author can spin a tale without vulgar language & include characters that reveal true Christian character!
