I tend to stay away from books where the main character is dealing with loss/grief, but I kept turning the pages of this book. There are lots of interesting people and animals and the plot moves along nicely so that I wanted to keep reading! A good book!

There are a lot of "nutty" people in this book, but they are all very likeable. All the characters have their issues, especially Kate Holly, but it is a reminder that we all have brokenness and can cope with the help of crazy relatives and friends!
