The writer attempts to uncover and reveal certain things that "they" (he never really says who "they" are, possibly the voices in his head) don't want you to know. He attempts to offend liberals, conservatives, big business, religious people, and just about everyone in his book.
Some things are actually interesting, like the fact that Hitler has living relatives in the US.
Most things are flat out sensationalized: "An FBI testifeid that lie detectors don't work" - 1 out of thousands of FBI experts said that, OH MY GOD CALL THE NEW YORK TIMES!
One is flat out dishonest and encourages defrauding the postal system by offering ways to cheat them.
My final response is that the book is mildly entertaining and interesting.

Great book. Simply written. Bach gives basic knowledge on how to trim spending, increasesavings, and plan for retirement. This book lays it out in simple and plain English. This book is great for people who are just begining to get a grip on their finances, or for those who know nothing about personal finance.

If you're a die-hard Lost fan, read the book...you'll find a lot of sublying themes that deepen the Lost "world". Purgatory, the infamous "twin" theory, father/son relations are all familiar topics from the Lost forums and are played out in the book. Other than references to the Widmores and Hanso, I don't think there are any shocking revelations that adds to the main Lost story. Rather, the book adds to the mystique of the Lost mythology. The writing seemed inconsistant, and often times rushed (especially near the end). Casual readers may want to pass this on, but is a must read for fans.

As a motivational speaker, Kiyosaki is excellent. As a mentor for practical and applicable knowledge, he is not. Do some research on him and see if he actually knows anything...

Funny, funny stuff. Each story will leave you muttering "Darwin was right". The book chronicles the silly, stupid and deadly choices that people make.

Great book...makes a strong social statement of misguided, disgruntled and disaffected youths of the country. The author writes in such a way that will keep you as confounded as the main character...he bends time writes scenes within scenes. This contributes greatly to the huge plot twist revealed at the end.
As brilliant as the books is, the Brad Pitt/Ed Norton movie actually conveys the passion of Tyler(Pitt) and the bitterness of the main character (Norton) a lot better than the book does. Also , the plot and flow of the story came across much clearer to me on film than in the book (I saw the movie first).

Good book to learn the basic fundamentals. What I learned as I progressed was that Hogan's swing fit his physique, and I had to tweak a few things in my own swing to make things work. But as a basic primer, this is an awesome book.

Great sequel! If you've seen the movie and not read the book, then read the book! The movie is a poor and warped translation of the movie. Ian Malcolm returns (from the dead)to the island where his misadventures started. Hot on the trail are a rival company's cronies to steal the dino DNA technology. New twists to dinosaur behavior add to the story started in Jurassic Park.

Millionaires are everywhere...most don't show or act like it though. This is the focus of the book- how affluent people live, spend and earn their money. It is a pretty eye opening experience to find out what these researchers discovered.

It appears that hours on hours of research went into this book. The result is a biting, hard look at what the American left has (failed) to accomplish in defending national security during the McCarthy era, Vietnam War, and present war on terrorism. She breaks many misconceptions of McCarthyism, exposes the left's failure in foreign policy during the 80s and 90s. It is easy to be swayed by her powerful writing. Her style is edgy, sarcastic and unforgiving... overall an excellent political read.

Save your money and borrow this from a friend, read it at the bookstore or get it here from paperbackswap.com. You will take away very little practical advice from this book. It is a collection of 2 page essays of various topics (How to buy real estate, how do deal with contractors, howto save for your kids college). It seems more like a collection of conversations that you would have in passing...a lot of feel good advice, but nothing substantial. He shamelessly self promotes as well. I haven't read his other books, but I'm hesitant to do so after this one.

LTC Hal Moore's story of the training, combat, and events after the Ia Drang battle offers a first hand account of a pivotal point in US military history. While I found the development and implementation of air assault to be fairly interesting, Moore's narrative seemed to be a bit to simple for me. Don't get me wrong, its an easy read and a great story, but it just seemed like one long 'interview' style documentary. Mel Gibson's movie oversimplifies many aspects, but condenses the book adequately.

I could not put this book down! I'm a huge fan of the zombie genre, and it is hard for writers/film makers to add something new. This book examines how the zombie invasion affected different cultures around the world, and how each group of people or characters had to overcome the attack. It is cleverly written as an oral narrative through many different characters who you instantly like and cheer for. The book reveals many political subtexts in the overall context of the story - Cubans taking in American refugees, how Communist China and the North Koreans respond, to name a few. It is definitely a refreshing take on the zombie genre.
Apparently the rights to this book has been bought by a Hollywood production company and will be made into a movie!
