Note that many bread machines only go to 1.5 pounds, so check yours out before ordering this book. If your machine doesn't give poundage, then compare the number of cups of flour they require.
I also agree with the other reviewers about the yeast. Most of the recipes call for 1 to 1.25 teaspoons, I'd use a whole package.

These short stories are lyrical, haunting, and depicts a universe unique to this author. Perhaps not for everyone, but I read these over and over.

Jane Lindskold is a master at taking old concepts and writing in a whole new way. I've read this book over and over again with much enjoyment.

It has become a new staple cookbook for me. The title says it all, good basic recipes that don't break the bank. It also contains lots of useful cooking and money saving tips.

Another good read by Jane Lindskold. I like some of her novels, like Changer, better, but still thoroughly enjoyed this book.

City! New York is written well, entertaining and contains useful suggestions for activities and sights for kids and their families to see in New York.

This has lots of the classics - brownies, Scotch short bread, lemon bars, etc. in well organized sections. All the cookies I've made from this book have been quite tasty!

A great read! Ms. Jones has a novel situation, and a great ear for realistic dialog in unreal situations. I mean, when the siblings (some human, some griffin) start squabbling about whose turn it is to play Dark Lord, it really rings true. Read it again and again.

This is the trilogy of books about Paks, under one cover. A very moving, realistic story of the trials and transformation of a simple country girl into a heroic fighter for good. Ms. Moon has real life experience with the military, and it shows in her writing. So you get to see the thought behind the battles, as well as a realistic description of the battles.

This is the very satisfying conclusion to the story started in Don't Bite the Sun. A great coming of age book, get both and read them!

It is amusing to see people's faces as they browse my natural history books. I can always tell when they've read the title of this book.
Amusing, with a surprising amount of natural history considering both the size and the humorous tone of the writing. This is a book to use and enjoy!

It was a good read, I admit, kept me going through the whole book. But like most times when Heinlein tries to write a woman's inner thoughts, it comes across more as what a guy fantasizes a woman thinks about: Sex, sex, and, oh, yeah, saving the universe.

A wide variety of ideas and faces for the "friendly" plastic.

Useful for now, but the requirements will soon be replaced by the "Take Action" version (based on Journeys).

Still a good reference for Daisy Girl Scout leaders. The program is much more than Journeys, or even Petals!

I use this book a lot for ideas on how to use up leftovers. It has recipes and suggestions, and an index by ingredient. A good addition to a frugal cook's library.
