Simple concepts identified and explained in text...
To win financially, first you must live on less than you make, and pay yourself first (DUH). Author recommends that you automate your savings/retirement, bill pay, direct deposit, automatic transfers, etc... that make managing your money simple / easy / effortless/ un-noticed / painless. The "tortoise" approach works - especially if you start this kind of system when young!
I prefer a more direct and controlled hands-on management of my monies - ala Dave Ramsey.

A fun read... that explores all the "news" that is not really news, but rather filler for a slow news day or an afternoon/weekend off for "news reporters" that really just cut-and-paste from "reliable sources" and "editors" that don't read and match the headlines to the actual facts of the story.
Explores FARK categories of: media fearmongering, unpaid ad placement, equal time for nutjobs, out of context celebrity quotes, seasonal articles, media fatigue, and media space fillers - and in the end offers a less than hopeful solution to the "crap that is passed off as news".

What a bunch of c#@!s&6 The farther I got into reading this book the less I read, the more I skimmed, and the more upset I got that I wasted a credit on this book - and now I will have to pay postage to ship it to some unsuspecting person - or should I recycle it instead?
I read the first section with an open mind - about how our mind blueprint is made up... and needs to be re-programmed. Our programming leads to our thoughts... thoughts lead to feelings... feelings lead to actions... actions lead to results.
OK, but Eker lost me when he went into his 17 Wealth Files - ways that rich people think differently than poor people like "Rich people think big. Poor people think small"
He put we way over the edge with his psycho-babble about "place your hand over your heart and say this positive declaration 'I think big! I choose to help thousands and thousands of people' then touch your head and say...'I have a millionaire mind'".
Good luck "mastering the inner game of wealth" with this book as your guide. But wait, there's more! I almost forgot the commercials about his conferences and websites where you can get more of this c#@!s&6.

Highly technical information - but if you can work your way through it and put the pieces together - it is a treasure trove of information that will help you to understand the "how's and why's" of sound reinforcement in detail. My copy will stay on my bookshelf as a reference to help train and coach new sound technicians. The charts and graphs that reinforce the concepts in the text are excellent.

Great book.... If you're a wimpy giver, and want to change, here is the solid scriptural basis, the motivation, and the beginnings of how-to become a giver in an easy to read - challenging to apply book.

reads a bit like a High School / College textbook... but great basic information on investing. The BEST description and examples of case study charts I've seeen. Does an EXCELLENT job with charts and graphs that show short term and long term returns - and the power of diversification over time. This book will stay on my bookshelf as a reference to teach others about investing basics.
