While I loved the humor, this was not one of the author's best offerings. There were moments in the plot that just seemed "forced" for lack of a better word. Usually, I can't wait to finish a book in this series however, I found this one very easy to put down. Read for continuity of the series but, sadly, that's about all.

The best thing I can say about this light yaoi story is "it's over". I had several problems with Naru & Kita's tale.
1. Manga-ka Kuwabara tries to cram as much as is humanly possible in each panel. It was too busy for me & didn't aid the plotline at all multiple times.
2. There is such a thing as too much teasing. The "will they or won't they" question does get answered but, I just didn't care by the end.
3. The plot drags & lags with really nothing to buoy up the slow spells.
Sad to say, I found the bonus story "Moon Kiss" better than the main fable.

First, I liked that this was different than the typical "school boys" romance that yaoi manga-ka(s) usually put out. Secondly, this is a comedy & never takes itself seriously. Really tongue-in-cheek humor here!
That said, the running gag about All Nippon Air Lines called by its initials (A.N.A.L.) was shoved into my face so many times, I got tired of it by the end of the book. It's like Azumaya thought the joke was so funny she just couldn't stop tell it & everyone knows that when you keep the same pun going, it starts to get old & stale. Sadly, that's what happened to me with this book.

Okay, "shota" is NOT my thing. My problem is the artwork is so cute that even if they are in college or out of school & working, the characters all look like they should be in grade or middle school. Sorta hit my ick button.
Artwork aside, the stories are straight forward & kinda simplistic. As this is a collection, that works well. Most of the tales are shonen-ai so, very little sex for the yaoi girls.

As anyone who knows Digital Manga Publishing knows, this title is NOT yaoi. If it was, June - the yaoi branch of DMP - would have put it out so, any tags that say "yaoi" are wrong. It's shonen-ai at best.
That warning out of the way, it is a good read. Even gay guys like it & normally they hate yaoi/shonen-ai. It's a in-depth story of 4 men, their lives & the people who influence them & who they influence.
If you're a "foodie", you will love this series!

As Misonoi begans his new duties as VP of the student council, everyone is shocked that Hajizume is now actually working as president. As the work load increases, the hot sex cools leading to a restless & frustrated Yuichi. The abstinence is also making the students upset as they deal with a moody Hajizume.

Not your typical school boy BL story.Be warned there is a forced sex scene! Also, there is side story with light S&M in it so, if that's not your "cup of tea", you might want to steer clear.

If you are a fan of romance comedies, this series deserves your attention. The mismatched couple of Alley Ji & Ryder Bay have to deal with ex-lovers, family members, mistaken identities & betrayal.

The title is a bit misleading. "A charming love story" doesn't happen til near the end. Some will find it slow as the story is more about what defines a family.
The 4 Obinata brothers are shocked when writer Shuu Asuou shows up with his "brother" Yuuta announcing he's their new brother-in-law & all 6 of them are to live together. Each of the siblings struggles to find his place in the new family structure. Most disturbed is eldest brother, Taiga, who now has a work & home relationship with Shuu. Not to mention, the secret that ruined their childhood friendship may soon come to light.

First off, I am a HUGE fan of Laurell K. Hamilton however, that does not excuse this book. While I understand that backstory is important to explain why a character/s may act one way or another, you really don't need EVERYONE'S past revealed.
The idea was simple & straight forward enough. The FBI wants Anita's help to bring down a zombie porn ring. Great! 2 thumbs up! The author should have stuck with that.
Instead, it's like Hamilton got ADD & could not focus on that 1 thing. (apologies to those who are suffering from the disease.) You have a plot against the rat king, Asher's mistake, a global tiger meet & greet & oh, somehow Anita can make panweres now. All storylines picked up & discarded like a hyperactive 6 year old at a caravel.
I miss the old Anita Blake books. Ones where the balance between humor, sex & action was a beautiful thing. Fingers crossed for the next one.

SWAPPER'S WARNING: If you are competely against shota, this is not the book for you. If you don't know what shota is, wiki it!
That being said, I'm not a great fan of it myself. However, manga-ka Zaou fills her stories with enough humor that I didn't get that "creepy" factor shota usually gives me.
The "Electric Hands" stories are about high-schooler Fujino & Takie while "Don't Speak & Seduce With Your Eyes" is about Fujishima & Tsuruga's relationship on the high school track team. The other 3 tales are shota but, kept light due to the fact the seme is the kid. LOL!
Another interesting fact is Taishi Zaou is a pen name of manga-ka Mikiyo Tsuda who is great friends with manga-ka Eiki Eiki so, look for the art work to be similar to Eiki's since the two work together often.

A book filled with comedy, sex & romance. Iwaki & Katou's lives as they move from porn stars to movie & TV stars is 1 heck of a roller coaster ride.

To be honest, having the name of the yaoi "Haru wo Daiteita" appear all the time got on my nerves. In the story, it's the name of a novel that becomes a movie that turns into a TV series so, you read "Embracing Love" like 99 times before the story is over. Those wishing a copy of this have a long wait as it is out of print & hard to find. Perhaps another publisher will buy the licence & reissue it.

Kim Harrison does it again! A story ripe with action, drama & forbidden romance.

Rachel Morgan must delve into the ancient past of demons & elves to make it all work.

BIG thanks to DMP for letting Yamane translate this book. The storyline made so much more sense than CMP's version. The characters' actions were easier to understand as well as their motives. I finished the book in 1 day which is a big improvement over Be Beautiful's version that I had to read 3 times to understand anything.

What can I say but, LOVE IT - LOVE IT - LOVE IT! This version has manga-ka Yamane's touch. Hopefully, DMP won't follow CPM's mistake & continues to let Yamane do the translation. Anyone following her Twitter feed knows she understands English perfectly.
Hot sex & danger abound in this volume. It is part 1 of the showdown between Fei Long & Asami. Yamane calls it the "Japan side" of the story arc.
I look forward to volume 4 even if my wallet doesn't.

I would give this 6 stars if I could. I love Manga-ka Yamane's artwork however, this edition is blessed in that the author translated it herself. Making the story easier to follow & thus better than Be Beautiful's edition from a few years ago.

This book is a spin-off of Ordinary Crush. Manga-ka Fujiyama take big brother Youichi Nanase who threw a fit when he found out his little bro was gay & gives him a comeuppance when coworker Renji Tsutsumi hits on him.
I like that this wasn't the "school-boy" romance that Fujiyama is known for. This adult drama takes a mature look at Renji & Youichi's relationship. Social pressures, conflicting feelings & fears don't get easier because one is older. The manga-ka shows this as each man thinks about their developing romance.
