This book jumps back and forth between two story lines that are happening at the same time and in the same place. I found it a bit confusing at times to keep up with the characters in both.
Overall, I enjoyed the book. It was an interesting historical novel. A little gruesome in places, but not overly so.

At this point, some of the material in this book is dated, however that doesn't take away from the basic story line. If you know people like this, the characters will resonate in a timeless way. Overall, I enjoyed the book.

Enjoyed this book. Some of the descriptions of the war period were difficult, but it was nice to have a balance with the lighter side of the (relationship) story. It made it not too heavy to read.

Sometimes by the 5th book a series needs to be put away. NOT SO with this one. I really enjoyed it. Enjoyable book.

Enjoyed the book, but liked Louise Penny better. It feels like you have to read the next one and the next one.

I enjoyed this book, however I wish there was a warning that both titles are a re-release. Sherryl Woods original copyright date was 1990 and RaeAnne's was 2006.
