This last book in Coe's Lon Tobyn Chronicle doesn't disappoint. Well-written and well-paced, it concludes the cycle while leaving the universe a living, changing thing. (That is, it doesn't tie up all the loose ends.)

Text light and graphically gorgeous, this is an art book. If you are looking for supported historic information, look elsewhere.

This book although intended for general audiences is a treasure-trove of information about the South's attempts to skirt British neutrality laws to have England build the Confederacy's fleet.
Not just about the details of their efforts, this book analyzes the politics and public opinion that helped and hindered this effort.
A great and interesting read as well.
