A rumination on how hard it is to be a liberal in the truest sense always trying to improve the world a bit at a time when confronting right wing pressure to conserve and retain perceived âbetterâ past and equal pressure from the radical far left that can't wait for change to occur soon enough. This books helps accept the reality that history has a progress tilt of gradual increment and most radical/revolutionary acts fail. Written before the excesses and aftermath the Trump era this is a balanced and introspective account of what it means to be a true liberal.
