Absolutely beautiful photos of Mr. Wright's work, some close-up, others distant enough to see the whole space.

A book about connecting with the written word, either with a short note or long, lovely letter. Don't we all want to see a real letter in the mail? When was the last time you saw one or sent one?

This small book packs a powerful punch. Euripides sure knew how to grab your imagination. The classic story of a wife betrayed by a husband that had vowed undying devotion, but later decided another princess was more to his liking.

A wonderful companion book to the PBS series, focusing more on the functions and dysfunctions of the mind, and less on the anatomy of the brain. Good photos.

Roy Blount Jr. is one of the funniest writers I've read. He has a great southern voice and a way of showing the absurd in our public and private lives.

My book has a different cover. I read this book cover to cover when I was 38. Now I'm 48 and need to move on. There are essays by 18 women, many whose names you will recognize (Frances Moore Lappe, Judy Chicago, Barbara Boxer, Gabrielle Roth, Mayumi Oda, Brooke Medicine Eagle, Cokie Roberts and many more).
