Very well written, easy read of the horrifying events that forever altered multiple families. The author provides quite a unique point of view as both insider/family member and investigator helping to bring the perpetrator to justice.

This book also highlights several problems with society and our justice system: 1) political correctness - in our effort to avoiding offending someone who gives off the appearance of being an upstanding member of society, we may be allowing them to quite literally get away with murder. 2) pride and ignorance - in a quest to be the agency/detective in charge, outside help is often ignored, often times resulting in justice being delayed or not served or even worse in another innocent being harmed in some way. 3) lack of funding/ training/accountability/support for family help agencies - allegations are often ignored that if investigated and addressed could prevent future harm.

Kind of disappointing - I was left with more questions than answers when I finished the book. Seems like the author rushed to be the first to profit from the crime.
