I loved this book. One should approach this book open minded about different sexual identities and peoples freedom to express those identities. This book was easy to read and the characters, although strange, were delightful. I highly recommend this book!

This book is HUGE and covers so many traditional ingredients and recipes. The pictures are stunningly vivid. I'm happy to have this on my bookshelf, even if it does overshadow the other, smaller books;)

This book was required reading for my multicultural counseling grad class. What a load of crap and a waste of a few hours of my life. I'm sorry to say but Bill O'Reilly is a racist a**hole. If I could give lower than 1/2 a star rating, I would! Honestly, stay away from this book!

Great reference book, has a fill-in-the-blank emergency information page on the back cover. Plus, who doesn't love a William Shatner endorsement?!?

Beautiful pictures (of not just the food, but of the beautiful people and places of Vietnam as well!), unique, authentic recipes. The book is divided into three parts:
Part One: an introduction to what Vietnamese food is and the food styles of Vietnam.
Part Two: the Vietnamese kitchen and cooking methods and ingredients.
Part Three: the recipes! Categories include: Basic Recipes (sauces, pickles, stocks, etc.), Appetizers, Salads, Soups, Vegetables and Rice, Seafood, Poultry, Frogs' Legs and Snails(only one recipe for each), Pork, Beef, Desserts.
Book also includes a small mail-order source list for ingredients.
