If you are not a fan of Jack Reacher, you are missing out on a great read. Lee Child is a great author who researches his material and presents not only unique characters, but information about how the military and USA government operate. This series is fast paced and exciting. Jack Reacher has a little wry/witty humor as well as being a man of direct action.
I personally recommend starting with the first book in this series as it gives more background to the main characters and their relationship. Each book is a stand-alone story, but some details overlap. It is a series that is hard to put down.

Excellent read. A very readable book about the life of concubines and the lifestyle of the Persian Kings. Storyline rather faithful to Biblical book, with some variations on relationship between Esther and Mordichia which I found interesting. Good book for group discussion.

This series is a fun read. Great characters, good mystery plot (keeps you guessing) and just a touch of humor. The Southern setting is interesting and gives a small window into a different world. The element of a resident ghost is a super literary touch.

Absolutely one of my all-time favorite books! It made me chuckle, laugh out loud, tear up and cry. So well written and the characters, while all unique, are believable. You will see your friends and neighbors and maybe even an enemy in the characters. I can't wait to read more from this author.

This is another of Joan Hess's Claire Malloy Mysteries. Her writing style is humorous and her characters well developed. An enjoyable read, whether it is the first book in the series you read or the 8th.

This is a great read....very unusual telling of the life of Jacob's daughter. I found the writing to be honest and reflective of the Biblical times. This book has made for a great discussion, re-reading and study of the story from Bible.

This series is a great read. It has lots of detail, and the character development is outstanding. It is a history of the Church of England from pre-WWII up through the 1970s.

Great read. Michael Connelly creates vivid characters and gives such detail to their actions. Void Moon follows the trail of a female cat burglar and the pursuit of her latest crime. The setting is Las Vegas. The details of casino security features, con games, tricks of slight of hand and a kidnapping all blend to keep the reading guessing and in this book actually cheering for the theif.
