If they were going to slaughter the merging of Aliens vs. Predator, in which they did with the movie, they could have at least made it more like the novel. Much better than the movie, but still a wreck.

Great book! Love the characters. The main, Alex Hunter, has special abilities and the way the author wrote it, it is believable in a sense. I enjoy these types of books, the lost civilization. Made me use all of my imagination and that is what I enjoy the most out of books. Must read it for yourself. Can't wait for the next installment.

A very good book in the Aliens Franchise. A must read if you're a fan. Lots of action. Almost non stop.

Yes! Action packed. Picks up where the original movie with Arnold left off! Introduces Dutch's brother and he's just as kickass as Dutch is. Great story and great for the Predator fans. Recommend for sure.

Well, where to start? First, I am a huge fan of Andy McDermott and have enjoyed his previous novels. BUT, I didn't enjoy this one quite as much. It was still a good read and one that made me want to get to the end to know what happened. First, for those who are devoted christians, you may falter from this one. For the others, it started out as one of the most unbelievable stories I've read. The time frame of the 'discoveries' is so far out there it doesn't make sense for them to still be there. THEN, near the end of the book, the author completely throws a curveball and comes up with one of the best and original ideas I've ever read. That's where I'm split on this one. The whole time I'm thinking one thing about the 'discoveries' and then he comes out of nowhere with the truth. It was good but not his best, in my opinion. I'll be waiting for the next installment this fall! You should still read this one because it fits the story arc for Dr. Wilde and Mr. Chase. By the end of this series, Wilde and Chase would probably have visited every country on Earth for as much traveling as this author has them doing!

I love the Atlantis myth and will read pretty much anything on it, but this one was just ridiculous. I hated the characters because each and every one of them new everything. Didn't matter what it was, they new it all. I felt like I was in a college lecture each time a character spoke. The author did extensive research, so much so that it ruined the book for me. Something like this I want to use my imagination, not be lectured. This was easily 200 pages too long. I got lost in thought so many time trying to take in all the information and understand the technical babble it took nearly a month to finish it. Completely out there as far as the story goes. I took this author off my wishlist as I just didn't find him an enjoyable writer.

This is NOT worth a credit! It is a bathtime plastic 8 page book!

This one is kinda weak. First off, if you're going to write about the lost city of El Dorado the least you could do is reserve more than 2 chapters on it. He barely described it. The location was totally unoriginal for the lost city. If you've read the other books in this series, you know the author loves his booby traps, but in this one, there's barely anything. He is concentrating more on the story with Kit than a treasure hunt. He introduces a great villain. Really enjoyed him. AND he brings in a surprise return that I could have done without. Fast paced book, just left me with wanting more on El Dorado. I will still read the next installments just to know how it ends. I feel that this series does need to end soon. He's a great writer, he just needs to start something else.

Picks up a few years after Ghostbusters 2 The Movie. Although, this seems like it would fit within The Real Ghostbusters Cartoon. Slimer acts as he does in the cartoon. Not a very good book, but a must have for any fan. The so called ghosts were pathetic. I wouldn't even call them ghosts. Just wanted to finish it and put it away.

Fantastic sequel! Picked up a year after the events of Shadowfall. The characters developed a lot more. The younger ones matured real quick under the circumstances. Introduced a few new characters as well. Just like the first one, I believe the author went into too much detail about the little things, but that's just fine. There's a lot more dark magic in this one and it's good. These could easily be made into motion pictures. I for one would love to see that. They set it up for a third installment, and hope that it does get released. All in all, you gotta read them, well worth the time!

This is the one that got me hooked. Picked it up on a whim and couldn't put it down. Great idea. Great adventure. Great story. Quick read.

Not one of my favorites, but it was still okay. Kept me going as all the Indy books have! This tells us some of the history on Indy's friendship with Mac! Just somehow Indy and Zombies don't mix for me.

I've read all the Indiana Jones adult novels, and this one is my favorite.

One of the worst in the Aliens series. Took me forever to get through, just was so boring and bland. The use of an Alien as a musical instrument? You can skip this one in the series, has no tie in with the other books.

The Pirate Wars takes the romantic fable of oceangoing Robin Hoods sailing under the banner of King Death and contrasts it with the murderous reality of robbery, torture, and murder on the high seas. Noted maritime historian Peter Earle charts centuries of piracy, from Cornwall to the Caribbean, from the sixteenth century to the hanging of the last pirate captain in Boston in 1835. Along the way, we meet characters like Edward Teach, the notorious Blackbeard, the treasure-hungry Captain Kidd, the dreaded corsairs of Barbary, and the defiant buccaneers of the West Indies.
The Pirate Wars is an account of the golden age of pirates and of the men of the legitimate navies of the world charged with the task of finally bringing these cutthroats to justice.

He's back! A lot better than the previous book. I like the way Eddie and Nina bicker. The author makes them seem more real this way. Just like real couples bicker! The action is non-stop. He does go a little to deep in explaining the action within the action. Seems like it takes 10 minutes to get through a 10 second piece of action. Otherwise, this is a great novel and can't wail for the next installment!

This was really great! Action all through and good sci-fi story. Even if you never played the game, you'll enjoy the book.
