A young boy is given a big job to watch a hundred ducks while his neighbor attends to his sick daughter. Broto gets distracted by the chore of another friend because it involves swimming. He looses track of the time and in the end as he gathers his ducks he is mising one.
This story from missionaries in Indonesia tell how one boy learned first hand the story of how Christ goes after the one lost. Such a cute story. Add this to your reading list if you desire to inspire missionary concern in your children. We read MANY missionary stories to our boys who are now grown and they both participate in missions. We have another one coming up and we intend to give him the same type of exposure.

This is a nice story for the younger ones to illustrate a situation where God provided miraculously for a woman in ministry as a testimony to the unbelievers around her. Since God will do the same for us if we rest in Him, it can be encouraging and grow your faith.
My son was a little disappointed with the dated pictures but he loved the story when I read it aloud to him. I found myself thinking on God's provision of Granny Han's breakfast when I was facing my own shortages and problems in my life. I am glad we shared this book as a family.

It was a unique book and a unique concept. You can read it in 20 minutes just as an FYI. This is more of an artistic rendition of an idea that there are interesting connections that remain once a connection is supposedly broken. The book makes the point very well.
