The Powder Puff Derby of 1929: The First All Women's Transcontinental Air Race
Review Date: 11/17/2009

I had no idea that there were so many women pilots in the 1920's! There were so brave and daring as they worked as test pilots, commercial pilots, and flight instructors. These were the real pilots - no protection from wind, sun, and rain, navigating with a map and a handheld compass in one hand and the stick in the other hand.
