I did not know quite what to expect when I got this book, but it turned out to be a very interesting read. He makes a very good case that the Chinese were world travelers long before the Europeans took to the seas in any numbers. The evidence that he presents about Chinese influence in a great number of places around the world is very compelling and the book is a great read. I think he does try to strech the evidence in a couple of place, but overall a great read.

As much as you know about the founding of the country, you can always learn more and this book served up some great bits of information about the crucial year of 1776. It is still amazing that George Washington was one of the few men that could have lead the rebels to victory and pressure that he was under was truly amazing. Excellent book by the author, as usual and a very informative read.

This is a classic book and I understand why. George Orwell was far ahead of his time in seeing how a complete survillance society would come into being. This book has excellent parallels to today's world. Aook that is well worth your time to read.

An outstanding book on the Luftwaffe from its beginning in 1914 until the end of World War II. This book has all of the people involved in the war and the background of the air campaigns that were conducted. It was very interesting to read about the background of how aircraft came into the service of the air force and the amount of mistakes made by the Germans. It is very interesting to consider how the war may have turned out if certain decisions had been made differently. A great read and very enlighting. Highly recommended.

I don't even know where to start. The first part of the book talks about Seal training and what you have to go though to make it though Hell Week. I cannot begin to image what it takes to get though this training. The majority of the book talks about the day Seal 10 was attacked and Mr. Luttrell return to his unit. A real page turner, you will not be able to put this book down.

This book was a quick read but I felt it was very entertaining. It went into the background of the Israel raid on Iraq's nuclear facility in June 81 and some of the behind the scenes about some of the people involved. I did enjoy the information on the part the Mossad played in gathering information on facility and skill of the pilots was very impressive. A great book if you want to know more about a daring and well executed raid.

This was a very good book that was very hard to put down. The story about how this U boat was discovered and the mystery of how it ended up off of New Jersey was fascinating. A book that is actually a quick read due to it well placed stroy. The author does insert a chapter in some places that seems out of place, but in the end the book has a very nice flow to it.
