This first Jack Reacher novel was engrossing and fun to read. It combines a puzzle mystery with romance and action, some of which is quite violent (caution to the squeamish). Very well written and organized, with clearly drawn characters and locations. The secondary story (an interesting one about dead musician Blind Blake) created eddies in the storyline, little breathers from the tension of the main story.

Every Woman's Guide to Romance in Paris is a helpful and inspiring pre-visit read. It explores many of the places to go and things to do in Paris that will help you find romance, whether it's with your life partner or just looking for love. It's a fun "on the plane" read that I recommend.
